Weekly Wrap Up- Faith Application

BreeAnn Duell- Youth In Christ Leader

Have you not heard? Do you not know? This was our conversation last Wednesday as Bree Duell walked our teens through an application of faith. The basis of Bree’s conversation was; having faith in Jesus Christ doesn’t make the storms of life easy, but what it does do is allow us to look back in our lives; and find God in every step of the way- expressing His faithfulness to us.

Next she covered how we have the choice to view life situations through human speculation/ rational thinking, OR, through the Holy Spirit- which gives us a bigger picture.

Biblical stories such as:

Job (Book of Job)

Jonah (Book of Jonah)

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego (Daniel 3- the Fiery Furnace)

Lazarus (John 11)

We can be honest with our struggles, but we still need to ask for instruction (from Father God). When we are focused on fears, we are no longer focused on peace. God fully understands our emotions and walks through it with us. But ultimately, we need to step into truth so we can see the Fruit of the Spirit expressed.

Questions: For our teens and for you (reader)

  1. Who do I believe is King? (1 Timothy 6:15)

  2. Who do I believe is King in my life? (Romans 6:13,14 & Hebrews 12:9,10)

  3. Am I part of His kingdom? (Colossians 1:13, 2 Corinthians 5:17,18, Hebrews 12:28,29, John 18:36)

  4. What does being a part of His kingdom mean? (Galatians 4, Ephesians 2:19, Romans 8:14-17)

  5. What is my view of the heart of God? (John 3:16,17 & John 17:26)

“How we view God will impact our view of scripture.”

“And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” Luke 11:9,10
